TURNING OPTIMISATION INTO IMPACT

OPTIMA-CON 27 is hosted by the ARC Training Centre in Optimisation Technologies, Integrated Methodologies, and Applications (OPTIMA). The conference will run from 08:30 to 17:00 daily.
OPTIMA-CON 27 is a national conference designed to connect industry with leading optimisation research, applied solutions and emerging talent. It brings together industry leaders, practitioners, researchers and students from across Australia and internationally to focus on how optimisation can be translated into practical, high impact outcomes for business, government and the broader economy.
The conference has a strong industry engagement and workforce development focus. Industry participants will gain direct access to cutting edge optimisation methods, applied research capability and a pipeline of highly skilled graduates. In parallel, researchers and students will gain valuable insight into real world industry challenges, decision making environments and applied problem contexts.
The program will feature industry led workshops, applied case studies, panels and facilitated discussions that prioritise relevance, collaboration and action. A core element of OPTIMA-CON 27 will be hands on optimisation challenge workshops, built around real industry problems and delivered in partnership with industry organisations. These sessions bring industry, academics and students together to co develop solutions with immediate relevance and longer term potential.
OPTIMA-CON 27 also offers high value opportunities for networking, partnership building and talent identification. Structured sessions and informal interactions, including coffee breaks and social events, are designed to support new connections, explore collaborations and develop relationships that lead to joint projects, partnerships and commercial outcomes.
